IOM commends the Government of Malta for prioritizing saving lives at sea
Floriana, 19/08: As the Maltese authorities rose to the occasion to save the lives of 61 migrants facing distress at sea late last night, IOM, the UN Migration Agency, commends the Government of Malta for showing its commitment towards prioritizing humanity when it comes to preventing loss of lives at sea. IOM holds that each life is worth saving and remains ready to support the Government of Malta in its efforts to ensure this.
